Lady was ready to leave long before the car was packed!
She made herself right at home at all the pre-wedding events, here with Bev (Jim Bell's sister) and her husband Barry just back from Australia.
After the wedding, Lady drove with Hilary and me to the cabin. The next day we hiked along the escarpment on the Bruce Trail. Here Lady's on leash but on the day's long hike, she was off-leash the entire time, happily leading the way for Hilary and me, only a few yards ahead, never once flying into the woods or far ahead.
This was the last stop on Lady's Best Day Ever, a swim at Sauble Beach in Georgian Bay, the long sloping shore perfect for a water-shy dog like Lady.
Lady's a great traveler! She even loves the scenery, sitting up to look out the window whenever hearing, "Look, Lady, Look!" and here at the Aguasabon River Gorge on the spectacular North Shore Drive between Sault Ste Marie and Thunder Bay.
Once we got to Dad's, the pup from next door showed up one evening. He and Lady seemed to dance in the yard with an eerie silence, perfectly matched partners.
On the 4th of July, Lady went to town with all of us for the fireworks. How she squeezed herself under the toolcase in the back of Dad's truck is anyone's guess. Some things are only meant to be endured ... ... ...
